For the second year in a row Stuver was named a finalist for the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian of the Year Award presented by ESPN. He is the first soccer player to be nominated for this award.
Stuver was awarded the 2023 President's Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
Audi of America, Major League Soccer and The Players’ Tribune announced that Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver will be featured in the “Celebrating Impact” content series for his demonstration of excellence in driving progress in his community.
Stuver joined the EQTX Foundation Board of Directors in 2022. In 2021, he wrote an op-ed in the Austin American Statesman about how harmful anti-trans legislation is.
Stuver joined Athlete Ally in 2019 and has participated in their Playing for Pride Initiative over the years. He also utilizes his platform to mobilize people in opposition to anti-lgbtqia+ measures in sports.
The Laundry Project assists lower-income families with meeting a basic need – washing clothes and linens, by turning laundromats into community centers of hope. Laundry fees are paid for while volunteers assist with laundry services, entertain children, and create a caring space at the laundromat.
The Equality Texas Foundation works to secure full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Texans through education, community organizing, and collaboration.
